The event was held at INVAP headquarters in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche from August 8 to 12.
\nThe meeting was attended by project managers, systems engineers, subsystems engineers and specialists from ARSAT, CONAE, INVAP and Turkish Aerospace, as well as GSATCOM authorities and international reviewers from the space industry.<\/p>\n
This important meeting took place, both in person and virtually, among more than 100 engineers, authorities, consultants and specialists from the different parties working on the project. With this result, the Preliminary Engineering Phase I of the ARSAT-SG1 Mission has been completed.<\/p>\n
This is a critical milestone in the project, in which the basic engineering of the satellite was consolidated. Together with the engineering of the satellite\u2019s component parts, it was set out in 180 documents that were reviewed by a panel of international specialists in different areas (systems, management, orbital dynamics, attitude control, electronics, power, electric propulsion, among others).<\/p>\n
“The milestone presentation was successful,” said Sylvain Breul, ARSAT-SG1 Project Manager, and added: “Work continues on the design to correctly reach the next milestone, to be achieved in 2023: the Critical Design Review (CDR)”.<\/p>\n
