The Dutch organization Nuclear Research & Consultancy Group (NRG) has decided to \u201cextend the preparatory phase\u201d of the construction of the nuclear reactor PALLAS and suspend the tender until the feasibility of different financing schemes has been examined.<\/p>\n

Before taking this decision, NRG had selected the offer presented by INVAP in collaboration with its Spanish associate ISOLUX as the best technical offer and that of best price.<\/p>\n

Initially the call for tenders for the building of the new reactor was issued in December, 2007, according to the European procedure of a \u201ccompetitive dialogue\u201d.
